Aparium Hotel Group specializes in creating boutique and community-driven hotels in cities all over the U.S. Each hotel has it's own unique brand and architecture relating to the tone of the location. Aparium and Mess teamed up to create the web experience for all these hotels. We were provided a minimal brand guide, then we flip it on its head to create the digital experience that showcases each website appropriately. Each site uses the same framework, so they rely heavily on the visual execution to stand out from each other.
The Daxton Hotel is located in Birmingham, Michigan and features a world-class art collection that Aparium wanted to promote with this site’s launch. The branding the Daxton is bold, luxurious, and reflects the avant-garde and modern architecture of the rooms and spaces. On the surface, the Daxton brand has a darker approach with mostly black pages and white text. Our creative team integrated subtle textures and tactile qualities that elevated the overall web experience.
